Welcome! The Sugarmakers Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Jon Rybkiewicz and David Schmeltzle that provides grants, in the form of maple syrup-making equipment and educational programs, to secondary education teachers to teach environmental sustainability in the maple syrup industry.
Sugarmakers works toward our vision by driving awareness of maple syrup-making processes that promote and protect our forests and local environments.
We raise money both through grants and by selling different membership levels.
There’s always something new to learn about making maple syrup. We are constantly learning and improving our craft.
We want to share the techniques we learned to help you create your perfect batch of maple syrup, whether it’s a single quart or thousands of gallons.
